• Entry to Windsor Castle State Apartments Windsor Castle: Windsor is the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world, and is the home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We will visit the magnificent State Apartments, furnished with some of the finest works of art and still used for State occasions; St George's Chapel - where the tombs of many kings and Queens lie...notably Henry VIII and his third wife Jane Seymour; and you will see the Queen Mary's Dolls' House, the most famous doll house in the world. Mysterious Stonehenge: 5,000 years ago, these 40 ton rocks were dragged to the lonely windy plain of Salisbury Hill, and their secrets tantalize and intrigue scholars and visitors to this day. Some say that Stonehenge was a religious temple; others that it was an astronomical clock; still others believe it to be a Bronze Age burial ground. Learn more about this iconic monument steeped in mystery and legend, and let your imagination be captivated by its silent, ancient mysteries. Lunch Box: Optional Lunch Box consists of a sandwich, fruit, a sweet item and a bottle of water. Guests may enjoy their lunch at one of the tour stops, or they may eat aboard the bus to maximize their sightseeing time during stops. Bath: The honey-coloured Georgian terraces of Bath, standing on the slopes of the River Avon, have enchanted visitors and residents alike for centuries. During your panoramic tour of Bath you'll appreciate why this is so ? the beautifully proportioned crescents and lovingly cultivated flower beds are a testament to the vision of its 18th century planners, and it's no surprise that the city was the first in England to be designated a World Heritage Site. Bath owes its existence to the hot spring water that, according to legend, cured the ancient British King Bladud of leprosy. The water maintains a constant temperature of 46°c and is credited with a variety of health restoring properties. There'll also be time to explore the "lantern of the West." Bath Abbey: Standing on the slopes of the River Avon, this beautiful Georgian city was the first city in England to be designated a World Heritage Site. On our panoramic tour you will see Bath Abbey, where the first British King was crowned in 973AD, the famous Pulteney Bridge modelled on the Florentine Ponte Vecchio and the stunning architecture of the Royal Crescent. Roman Baths: We will visit the Roman Baths that made the city famous, the best preserved Roman Spa from the ancient world, but then tantalizingly hidden from view until the 1870s. Here we will also witness the torch lighting ceremony when the torches around the Great Roman Bath are lit at dusk (not applicable in Summer) and - exclusively for our guests - there is an opportunity to drink a glass of spa water straight from the historic Pump Rooms. 48 HOURS MINIMUM ADVANCE PURCHASE REQUIRED. Hotel pickups are available from designated hotels. Rates are in US Dollars & include all taxes and fees. SUPER SAVER rates only apply to orders placed between January 1 and March 15, 2012 for tour dates between January 2 and June 30, 2012.
